OVERVIEW With AURAL AIDE Audio Description systems the Commentator wears the lightweight body pack NBT1-863 transmitter and lapel microphone. Listeners use similar portable NBR1-863 receivers and lightweight headsets to hear every word clearly and easily, even at the back of a large venue. The Audio Description system offers 16 FM channels Operating over a distance of up to 200 metres. The transmitter will broadcast to any number of users with additional receivers purchased. Both the transmitter and the receiver are field tunable. The portable wireless listening system is easy to set up and use, no installation is required. Eight systems can be used simultaneously in the same venue if hearing assistance and audio description facilities or simultaneous language translation is required. Universal patch leads are used to connect transmitters to the output of translator consoles if they are fixed in static positions. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION Aural Aide is a UHF radio system operating in the licence exempt 863 MHz band. Thesound quality is crystal clear and the range, up to 200 metres is excellent. Each transmitterand receiver has sixteen user selectablechannels available. The transmitters and receivers run from standard AA batteries, rechargeable or disposable types can be used for maximum flexibility. Personal neck loops for hearing aid users are available for specialist applications.
