Online Catalogue    LONEWORKER & PAGING    General Disability Equipment    Lone Worker & Personal Attack Systems
Lone Worker & Personal Attack Systems
Lone Worker & Personal Attack Systems

Lone worker and personal attack monitoring systems essentially consist of two parts.
The first are small radio or infra red triggers carried by the person at risk, the triggers can range from a simple push button type through to an automatic fall or movement detector. The triggers all report to a base unit when activated. The second parts are base units which can sound a local alarm, activate pagers or report to a 24 hour manned
monitoring station. Base units can be fixed, transportable or fully portable depending on the specific application. The Access Audio range of radio monitoring systems comprises of three basic systems with Infra red, UHF radio triggers and a range of base units which can be tailored to specific applications.

TRIGGER DEVICES

Infra red triggers are only suitable for internal use and report to a hard wired series of receivers which identify the user and pinpoint the location of the alarm call to a central console located perhaps in a security control room.

PP Series radio triggers are suitable for internal or external use, the operational range depends on local site conditions and the type of trigger selected. The shortest range would be the wrist type which can be a little as 15 to 20 metres indoors. The longest range would be achieved with the neck pendant or belt clip type which can cover 200 to 300 metres indoors and more in free space or line of sight. The transmitters are battery powered with a typical battery life of over five years and have a status LED to indicate correct operation. PP radio door contact and PIR triggers can also be used for monitoring purposes. All the PP radio triggers can activate a range of base units from two channel through to 521 channels

UHF radio triggers are suitable for internal or external use, the operational range depends on local site conditions and the base unit selected. The shortest range would be when the trigger was matched to a pager receiver this can be a little as 200 metres indoors. The longest range would be achieved with the four channel static or transportable receiver and dipole antenna this can cover several kilometres and more in free space or line of sight. UHF triggers have four operational modes, manual alarm when the buttons are manually pressed. Lanyard mode, activated if the trigger is snatched away from the wearer. Motion detector mode, the unit will activate if no movement is detected in any 20 second time window. Test call mode, the unit will send periodic test calls to the receiver/s. The UHF triggers are battery powered, battery life expectancy is totally dependant on the type of use but with test calls set at 1 hour intervals the cells should last over two weeks without charge. UHF radio triggers can activate a pager receiver or four channel static or transportable receiver. The radio receiver has dry contact relays which can be used to trip additional warning devices as required.

BASE RECEIVERS.
Infra red receivers can accept up to 256 network devices per system.

PP Series receivers are available from two channel to eight channel then in eight channel steps to 64 channels and finally in 520 channel capacity. PP receivers will identify which radio trigger has activated and in the case of tilt switch triggers indicate call status i.e. assistance call or man down. The 520 channel receiver will display information in plain
English text. All PP receivers are available in mains powered or 12 volts DC format. UHF receivers are available in belt clip pager format or four channel static or portable format. UHF static receivers will indicate the type of call received thus; Zone 1 = Assistance.
Zone 2 Cancel or Reset.
Zone 3 Emergency call.
Zone 4 Snatch alarm.

UHF belt clip pager receivers will display the above alarms in plain English text and have a vibrate only option for use in quiet environments.
All static receivers can be fitted with a variety of antennae to improve performance i.e. increase the effective range of the radio triggers. All receivers can be interfaced with a digital communicator, (WA-01) to allow 24 hour seven day remote off site monitoring. If any site requires remote monitoring but has no fixed land line telephone connection an
GSM device, (FCT-C), can be fitted to any Lone Worker or monitoring system. Alternatively a combined GSM lone worker system, (GSM-01 or GSM-02), which provide stand alone system for instant deployment in locations where no phone line is available and even where no AC mains supply exists.
