Overview The Watchman base unit contains a radio receiver and a digital communicator. In the event of an alarm being activated, the Lone Worker alarm will communicate with either a central monitoring station or with a private telephone (fixed line or cellular or both). The base unit measures 50mm high, 210mm wide and 270mm deep - it can be wall mounted or free standing. |

Monitoring When used in conjunction with a central station, Watchman exchanges data with the control centre which identifies the location of the unit. A two-way speech channel between the unit and the control station operator can then be opened. When an alarm is sent to a private telephone, the location of the unit is identified by way of a 16 second pre-recorded message . At this point the person receiving the call can open a two-way speech channel with the Watchman . The unit can be programmed to call up to four separate telephone numbers. If it fails to connect with the first number it will default to the second and so on. The four numbers can be any combination of private or central Station. |

Activation The Watchman can be activated by radio triggers, including tilt switches, long range or any hard-wired device, such as an existing alarm system. The PA (Personal Attack) pendant transmitter will operate the system at any time and will override any other function which may be selected. By selecting away on the front panel, the unit will act as an intruder alarm and movement detected by radio passive infra red detector will activate the alarm sequence. If the activity monitoring function is selected, then unless movement is detected the unit will alarm after a predetermined time lapse. The function is used to monitor activity and ensure that all is well without the need to constantly call up a site and make verbal contact. |

Remote Access A unique and very useful function is the ability to call in to the Watchman unit and have it to auto answer after a preset number of rings. The caller can then simply listen in to the remote site and open up a two way speech channel at will. |
Relay Output The Watchman also has a relay output which can be programmed in a variety of ways: by an alarm activation, a communication failure or even by remote access. The relay can be used to activate microphones, video cameras, lock doors, etc. When the relay has been activated remotely (see above) the caller can switch between devices simply by sending a signal using a touch tone telephone. The relay can be set to latch until reset or for a preselected time. |

Remote Extension Units Up to four remote loudspeaker units can be hard-wired to the Watchman base to offer greater security to the installation. |

Warranty & Maintenance The equipment is covered by a twelve month warranty. In addition, Access Audio can offer ongoing maintenance contracts if required. Access Audio also operate a remote programming facility for customer assistance if required along with Central Station Monitoring facilities. |
